Peewee hockey team wraps up a perfect regular season

The Brandon Source for Sports Wheat Kings finished their regular season with a perfect 28-0 record in the Winnipeg Peewee AA Hockey League. The club is not participating in the playoffs and has decided to focus on the provincial championships later this month.

Wildcats lose provincial final

The Westman Wildcats dropped a 4-1 decision to the Pembina Valley Hawks late last month in the female midget provincial hockey final. The Wildcats defeated Eastman 4-1 earlier that day to reach the final.

Kirkup coach of the year

The MJHL coach of the year is Dwayne Kirkup of the Swan Valley Stampeders. Kirkup led the Stampeders to a 34-22-2-4 record and a third-place finish in the Sher-Wood Division.
