Volunteers played a crucial role at Scotties

Story:

A very big hurrah is deserved for the host committee, volunteers, and community of Killarney-Turtle Mountain for their hard work hosting the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Over 300 volunteers worked around the clock for more than a week, the staff at the Shamrock Centre spent weeks in advance preparing the facility, and the host committee spent countless hours over many months ensuring the event's success.

Westman Communications Group (WCGtv) broadcast nine games during the event, bringing 28 hours of live curling to the Westman region, and across the world on the Internet. The curling was fantastic, the fans enthusiastic, and the Shamrock Centre was the perfect facility to host such an event. Our coverage would not have been successful with out the help of the volunteers in Killarney.
